Kokomo, IN – The no. 4 seed Hanover took on the no. 3 seed Rose Hulman in an elimination game dropping the hard fought battle 9-5. The Panthers concluded the 2026 season 21-21 overall.
AT THE PLATE
Senior
Josh Simpson (Bardstown, KY) plated the games first two runs with a no-doubt home run to left field. However, Rose-Hulman used a four run third inning to flip the script.
Freshman
Kadin Bush (New Albany, IN) stole the momentum back in the fourth inning with a two run home run that pushed the Panthers back in front 5-4.
The back-an-forth battle ensued as Rose-Hulman got the final say scoring two runs in the fifth inning and one in the eighth inning for the 9-5 win.
Girard closed out the Tournament earning All-Tournament team honors.
ON THE BUMP
Sophomore
Dylan Lloyd (Colerain, OH) got the start lasting four innings and striking out two. Senior
Quinten Shewmaker (Floyds Knobs, IN) completed the rest allowing only one earned run.
