HANOVER v ALBION/OLIVET INVITE
Hanover wrapped up the Albion/Olivet Invite with a 2-1 weekend, earning wins over Baldwin Wallace and Olivet before falling to Albion on Saturday morning. The Panthers opened the weekend with a statement 3-1 victory over Baldwin Wallace, followed with a 3-0 sweep of Olivet, and closed the invite with a 3-0 loss to Albion.

Hanover opened the weekend with one of its strongest performances of the season, taking down Baldwin Wallace 3-1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-20). After dropping the opening set, the Panthers responded by winning three straight sets. Hanover dominated the final three sets offensively, hitting .317 in the second, .371 in the third and .317 in the fourth while finishing the match with 63 kills and a .267 hitting percentage.
Ryleigh Plunkitt led the Panthers in the win over Baldwin Wallace (21 kills, .400 hitting, 14 assists, 8 digs, 1 ace, 2 blocks), while
Molly Welborn added a strong offensive performance (16 kills, .238 hitting, 12 digs, 2 assists, 1 ace).
Brailey Teipen was extremely efficient (13 kills, .524 hitting, 3 digs, 1 block), and
Abbey McCoy provided a major boost from the service line (7 kills, .152 hitting, 14 digs, 5 aces).
Madison Schicker anchored the defense with 19 digs, while
Brooke Gervers directed the offense with 29 assists.
The Panthers then carried that momentum into Friday night's matchup with Olivet, sweeping the Comets 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-23). Hanover finished with 46 kills and hit .173, while holding Olivet to 29 kills and a .088 hitting percentage. The Panthers also held advantages in assists (41-27) and aces (5-4).
Plunkitt again led the Hanover attack against Olivet (13 kills, .167 hitting, 11 assists, 6 digs, 1 block), while Teipen added nine kills (.261 hitting) and Welborn finished with eight kills (.067 hitting, 10 digs, 1 ace). Schicker had another outstanding defensive performance with 21 digs, while Gervers contributed 21 assists and two aces.
Hanover's final match of the weekend came against Albion, which entered the contest 12-1. The Panthers battled throughout the match but ultimately fell 3-0, 21-25, 18-25, 20-25. Hanover finished with 32 kills, 29 assists and 59 digs, while Albion recorded 39 kills, 37 assists and 72 digs.
The Panthers had three players finish with seven kills apiece against Albion. McCoy (7 kills, .217 hitting, 5 digs), Plunkitt (7 kills, 5 digs, 10 assists), and Welborn (7 kills, 10 digs, 1 ace) led the offense. Schicker once again paced the defense (18 digs, 3 aces, 3 assists), while Gervers added 15 assists and eight digs.
Despite the loss to Albion, Hanover's performance against Baldwin Wallace highlighted the team's ability to respond after dropping a set and maintain offensive pressure against a highly successful opponent. The Panthers also showed consistency by following that victory with a sweep of Olivet before closing the weekend against Albion.

The Panthers finished with a 2-1 record, highlighted by the comeback victory over Baldwin Wallace and the sweep of Olivet.
