MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY | WELCOME YOUTH FOOTBALL
Hanover is set to kick-off Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action welcoming Mount St. Joseph to Alumni Stadium. The Panthers extend an invite to all military personnel as well as youth football players.
 
IN THE CITY
Last year's meeting in Cincinnati saw Hanover reign victorious, 45-21, including 28 points in the second quarter. The Panthers tallied a game-high 443 yards with 291 yards coming through the air. Senior Eian Roudebush passed for three touchdowns while also rushing for three TDs.
 
Defensively, Hanover tamed the Lions, allowing just 18 yards rushing. All-American linebacker junior Brian Wall recorded six total tackles, one interception and a pass breakup.
 
HOME SWEET HOME
The Panther's last win at home against Mount St. Joseph came in 2012, when they defeated the Lions inside Alumni Stadium, 28-24.
 
HEAD-TO-HEAD WITH HOPE
Prior to the bye week, Hanover went head-to-head with ranked Hope, falling to the Flying Dutchmen, 27-10. Roudebush paced the offense, throwing for 228 yards and one touchdown.
 
Senior George Marten led the defense with six stops, four solo tackles, and one forced fumble.
 
ONE-TWO PUNCH
Prior to the season, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference ranked Hanover as the favorite to repeat as conference champions, with Mount St. Joseph coming in at second.
 
The Panthers secured 36 points in the poll, with six first place votes, while MSJ collected 31 points and one first place nod.
 
The Lions enter the weekend as the top ranked offense, averaging 39.3 points per game, as well as the top ranked defense, allowing the fewest points per game 15.0.
 
Hanover is nipping at their heels, ranking second in fewest points per game at 17.7. Sophomore Cole Shively leads the league in interceptions, averaging 1.0 per game.
 
INSIDE THE STATS
Roudebush continues to be clutch in the Panther offense, averaging 241.67 passing yards per game while rushing for 40.0 yards per game.
 
Wall leads the defense with 19 tackles, 12 of which have been solo. Marten has recorded 18 tackles and forced a fumble.
