HANOVER, Ind. – Hanover (1-1 overall) netted two first half goals to defeat Spalding on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action, 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman
Lyla Jacobs secured her first collegiate goal in the 25th minute giving the Panthers the early 1-0 lead. Jacobs methodically pressured the Spalding backline by intercepting an errant pass and drilling the ball in the lower right corner.
Anna Black pushed the Panther lead to 2-0 in the first half with a long-distance strike. The sophomore played an attempted corner kick clear by the Spalding defense and drilled it over the goalkeeper's head.

Hanover returns to the pitch on Wednesday, Sept. 9 when they host DePauw at the Soccer Complex. Game time is set for 5:00 PM.
