Tommy Murphy joined the Hanover College baseball program as an assistant coach in the summer of 2020.
Murphy comes to Hanover after spending two seasons with Otterbein University, where he served as a starter for the Cardinals. Additionally, he helped guide Otterbein to back-to-back Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, which earned the team a spot in the NCAA Regional.
The Early Childhood Education major was named to the All-OAC Academic team on two separate occasions, while also serving as a member of the Otterbein athletic mentorship program.
Murphy, the past five seasons, has worked closely with the Cleveland Indian’s Youth Baseball Development Department honing his coaching skills. He has also served as an assistant coach for the 18U Irish National Baseball team, as well as the head coach for the 18U Baseball Heritage Museum Buckeyes.
Tommy graduated from Otterbein in 2020.
