Hop Hopkins returned to Hanover in January of 2024 as the men's lacrosse Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator under the direction of Head Coach Michelangelo Butturi ('16). Hopkins, a 2021 graduate of HC, will return for the 2025-26Â season, while also taking on an administrative role as the new Assistant Athletic Communication and Media Coordinator.
Hopkins helped lead the Panthers to the HCLC Tournament finals during his first season back with the team. In their first season together as a staff Butturi and Hopkins were able to lead Hanover to an 8-9 overall record (4-1 HCLC), finishing second in the HCLC, with seven All-HCLC honors including three First-Team selections.
Prior to returning to Hanover, Coach Hopkins spent three years in Indianapolis, IN where he served as the Offensive Coordinator at Lawrence North High School for two seasons, and North Central High School for one.
Hopkins had a four-year playing career at Hanover College where he played one season under Legendary US Lacrosse Hall of Famer Head Coach Skip Lichtfuss, and three seasons under Springfield College National Champion and now Alleghany College men's lacrosse Head Coach Jeff Roberts.
