TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Hanover women's swimming team took to the road on Saturday afternoon taking on Rose-Hulman. The Panthers fell in the meet 167-111.
In the 1,000-yard freestyle, sophomore
Megan Quinn (Richmond, Ind.) took second overall in a time of 12:27.32. While teammate, sophomore Maddie DiFilippo (Cincinnati, Ohio) claimed a runner-up finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:18.63. Freshman
Cyndi Garbison (Knox, Ind.) took third in the event with a time of 2:19.47. DiFilippo also found success in the 100-yard butterfly claiming second place overall.
Sophomore
Ilys Anderson (Hebron, Ky.) dominated the 100-yard backstroke winning the event in a time of 1:04.98. Following her across the finish line were teammates freshman
Alaina Simmons (Amboy, Ind.) in second and freshman
Claire Horn (Lexington, Ky.) in third.
Anderson also found success in the 50-yard freestyle claiming the top spot with a time of 26.60. Sophomore
Liz Bolinger (Kendallville, Ind.) took third overall in the event with a time of 28.85.
The 100-yard freestyle was won by Simmons in a time of 58.73, while teammate sophomore
Lindsey Hoskins (Columbia City, Ind.) took third overall.
Senior
Megan Brandt (Guyton, Ga.) found success in the 200-yard backstroke taking second overall in a time of 2:31.20.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, freshman
Abby Boyt (Seymour, Ind.) took second with a time of 1:16.82, while also winning the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:44.32. Bolinger finished second in the event with a time of 2:56.25.
Hoskins claimed a second-place mark in the 500-yard freestyle, while teammate sophomore
Megan Quinn (Richmond, Ind.) took third in the event.
Hanover also got a top finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:48.53.
