HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers hosted Mount St. Joseph on Saturday evening as part of their Breast Cancer Awareness game, falling to the Lions 3-1 (25-19, 16-25, 20-25, 21-25).

The Blue and Red were paced by junior
Adrianne Vance (Indianapolis, Ind.) with a team-high 13 kills posting a .229 hitting percentage. Senior
Kelsey Ketcham (Mishawaka, Ind.) dished out 29 assists and added 11 digs.

The opening set saw Hanover tally a set high 13 kills for an impressive .393 hitting percentage. Leading the attack was junior
Emma Harmon (Carmel, Ind.) charting a series of kills that knotted the contest at 10-10. She would steal the momentum moments later as a kill off an assist from junior
Meredith Deckard (Bedford, Ind.) gave Hanover the edge they needed for the set one win.

Set two saw the Lions surge ahead early when a Vance kill tied the match at 11-11. However, MSJ was able to string together a six-point rally that propelled them out front. The Lions never looked back as they knotted the match 1-1. Hanover landed just seven kills in the set.

The next two sets would see MSJ continue on the attack as they would register a set high 18 kills followed by 12 kills in the final stanza. The Lions finished the contest with a match best 55 kills.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 16 when they travel to Bluffton. Game time is set for 2 PM.
