KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Hanover men's basketball team used a balanced attack to take down Kalamazoo in non-conference action on Monday evening, 85-59. The Panthers improve to 7-1 overall with the win.
Pacing the Panthers were junior
Ty Houston and sophomore
Max Greenamoyer (Zionsville, Ind.) tying a team-high 14 points. Sophomore
Matt Munoz (Indianapolis, Ind.) netted 13 points, while teammate senior
Isaac Hibbard (New Albany, Ind.) added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Hanover surged ahead behind the sharp shooting of Greenamoyer who pushed HC in front 13-7 at the 16:25 mark. The precise shooting continued as Houston delivered a three-pointer before a Hibbard layup in the paint pushed HC out front 47-24 at the break.
The second half would see the Blue and Red capture their largest lead as a sophomore
Brice Gilman (Clinton, Ind.) three-pointer pushed HC in front 64-32. They continued to pour it on as Hibbard deemed clutch in the paint at the 5:27 mark when freshman
Kaden McCollough (Middletown, Ind.) delt the final blow to propel HC to the 85-59 victory.
The Panthers finished the contest shooting 50 percent from the floor, including 44 percent from behind the arc.
