RICHMOND, Ind. – The Hanover women's soccer team opened the 2021 spring season with authority using five first half goals to defeat Earlham 6-0. Hanover improves to 1-0 overall on the season.

Maggie Day (Sellersburg, Ind.) paced the way for the Panthers as she charted her first hat trick of the season following three first half connections.

Autumn Boothby (Mount Orab, Ohio) provided the first strike of the afternoon just four minutes into the contest as she hit a goal from just inside the 18, 1-0.
Day took over from there as she hit three goals providing the first with 13:52 to play. She would find another goal at the 15:52 mark connecting on a pass from Boothby before netting her final dagger off a pass from freshman
Jostin Reeves (Greenwood, Ind.). The last goal of the half came off the foot of freshman
Bri Matis (Liberty Twp., Ohio) propelling HC in front 5-0.
The final goal of the contest came late in the second half as junior
Kelsey Hughes (Noblesville, Ind.) found the back of the net sending HC to the 6-0 victory.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, March 6 as they travel to Anderson. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
