ANDERSON, Ind. – The Hanover women's soccer team (9-2-2 overall, 5-0-1 HCAC) made the trek north for Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Anderson on Saturday afternoon. The Blue and Red defeated the Ravens 3-0.
The Panthers saw three different athletes record goals in the contest, senior
Josie Dattilo (Montgomery, Ohio), junior
Callen Johnson (Ashland, Ky.), and sophomore
Kate Bettner (Noblesville, Ind.).
Johnson delivered Hanover's first goal in the 20
th minute as she missed a penalty kick but was able to clean up the deflected ball for the strike, 1-0.
Bettner added the second blow in the 58
th minute off an assist by sophomore
Beth Cook (Goshen, Ind.) to push the difference to 2-0.
The final Panther goal came in the 81
st minute as Dattilo found the back of the net for the 3-0 victory.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 19 when they travel to Mt. St. Joseph for a key HCAC matchup. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
