HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover College softball team, under the guidance of 2022 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year
Cori Collinsworth, announced their 2023 schedule featuring a trip to Texas in March.
The season is set to open on Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26 with the Panthers traveling to Ellisville, Mo. taking on Greenville and Monmouth followed by the College of the Ozarks and Central College.
Hanover then heads to Texas on March 1-3 featuring a match-up with Texas Lutheran, who in 2022 made an NCAA Tournament elite eight appearance. The trip will also feature contest with Southwestern University on Wed., March 1 and Trinity (Texas) on Friday, March 3.
The Panthers home opener is slated for Wednesday, March 8 when they welcome Centre to Kops-Bedel Stadium followed by a trip to Elizabethtown, Ky. on March 18-19 for the Pioneer Classic. The very competitive Classic will see Hanover go head-to-head with Linfield, who appeared in the NCAA Tournament and finished the year ranked 14
th, as well as matchups with George Fox and Spalding.
HCAC action is slated to begin on Saturday, April 1 with Manchester. Other home HCAC contests will feature Bluffton on Thurs., April 6, Rose-Hulman on Tuesday, April 11, and Franklin on Wednesday, May 3.
The HCAC tournament will open play on Thursday, May 11.
