Men's Lacrosse stumbles in season opener

ALBION, Mich. – The Hanover men's lacrosse team opened the 2022 season this afternoon taking on non-conference foe Albion. The Panthers fell in the contest 22-1.
 
Hanover was paced by sophomore Nick Adams (Greenwood, Ind.) with a team-high five shots. In frame, senior Sean O'Meara (Lexington, Ky.) tallied 17 saves.
 
The opening half would see the Britons surge ahead as they used a five goal first quarter followed by a nine goal second quarter to claim the 14-0 advantage at the break.
 
They would go on to net four second half goals before Hanover dealt its lone blow with just 33 seconds left in the third quarter. Freshman Luke Haines (Lexington, Ky.) provided the strike. Albion added four more goals in the final stanza in rout to the victory.
 
As a unit, the Panthers tallied 15 successful clears  and nine face-off wins.
 
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Feb. 26 when they welcome Centenary College to Alumni Stadium. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
