LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover baseball team opened the 2022 season on Wednesday evening, falling to Centre 9-1.
Sophomore
Wyatt Prather (Indianapolis, Ind.) got the start for the Blue and Red pitching two complete innings surrendering seven runs.
Hanover gave up four runs in the first inning, followed by three in the second inning before plating their only run in the top of the fourth inning.
Sophomore
Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) provided the RBI with a single to right field that scored senior
Andrew Littlefield (Louisville, Ky.) to cut the difference to 7-1.
However, Centre tacked on a run in the bottom half of the inning before scoring the final run in fifth.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Feb. 26 when they compete at Maryville. First pitch is set for 1:00 PM.
