CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the Softball Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon, with the Panthers getting the sweep.
 
Graduate student Lilly Beurman (Evansville, Ind.) was named the HCAC Pitcher of the Week, while teammate freshman Carson Kruse (Fort Branch, Ind.) claimed HCAC Hitter of the Week accolades.
 
Beurman led the Panthers to a split at Illinois College as she picked up her first win of the season pitching 5.2 innings with 11 strikeouts. She surrendered just two runs on six hits.
 
At the dish, Kruse went 2-of-5 with three RBI. She also posted a stolen base and a .400 batting average in the series.
 
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, March 2 when they take on Millsaps College. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
