HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers used a stellar attack to dominate the Wilmington Quakers in non-conference action on Monday afternoon, 21-2. With the win, Hanover moves to 4-2 overall.
Freshman
Owen Cuniffe (Indianapolis, Ind.) paced the Panthers with a game-high five goals on 13 shots, 10 of which landed on frame. Freshman
Alex Kleinhelter (Fishers, Ind.) added four goals with teammates sophomore
Nick Adams (Greenwood, Ind.) and sophomore
Zach Stone (Elizabethtown, Ky.) both netting three goals apiece.
The Panther attack finished with a game-high 67 shots, 43 which landed on frame.
Senior
Sean O'Meara (Lexington, Ky.) picked up the win in frame, tallying two saves through 32 minutes of action.
The Panthers hit the turf in full stride netting 12 straight goals before the Quakers responded.
Wilmington added one final blow in the third quarter before another nine-goal outburst propelled HC to the impressive 21-2 victory.
Kleinhelter paced the Panthers in the second half, netting three of his total four goals in the third frame.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, March 19 when they travel to Concordia. Face-off is set for 12 PM.
