MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Hanover Panthers scored early and often in rout of Purchase College on Thursday afternoon, 19-6.
 
Freshman Ashton Dickmann (Greenfield, Ind.) picked up the win on the mound for the Blue and Red as he pitched five complete innings surrendering just two runs on four hits.
 
The Panthers surged ahead early as sophomore Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) went yard in the top of the first inning to give HC the 1-0 advantage.
 
The offense continued to fire on all cylinders in the top of the second inning as senior Andrew Littlefield (Louisville, Ky.) provided his first homerun of the afternoon scoring freshman Jake Danneman (Edgewood, Ky.) and freshman Andrew Oesterling (Batesville, Ind.). Sophomore Connor Farnsley (Jeffersonville, Ind.) closed out the second inning scoring frenzy as he doubled scoring junior Jacob Dupps (Louisville, Ky.), senior Charlie Burton (Columbus, Ind.) and Christie, 8-0.
 
Purchase would get one run back in the third inning and one in the fourth inning before the scoring outburst ensued.
 
Littlefield provided the clutch double to right center scoring another Panther runner when Christie dealt his second homerun of the afternoon propelling HC to the 12-2 advantage.
 
The Blue and Red never looked back tacking on seven more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure the convincing 19-6 victory.  
 
Hanover returns to action on Friday, March 4 when they take on Kean University. First pitch is slated for 1:00 PM.
