LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Late game errors doom costly for Panthers as they fall to non-conference opponent Spalding. Hanover dropped the contest 9-1.
Junior
Jacob Dupps (Louisville, Ky.) paced the Panthers at the dish going 1-for-2 with an RBI.
After falling behind 1-0, Hanover responded with Dupps providing the timely hit. The junior singled plating senior
Charlie Burton (Columbus, Ind.) to tie the score at 1-1 in the third inning.
However, the Eagles continued to soar adding three runs in the bottom half of the third inning and one in the fourth inning to push the difference to 5-1.
They would tack on three runs in the fifth and one in the eighth inning to secure the 9-1 victory.
Sophomore
Wyatt Prather (Indianapolis, Ind.) got the start for the Blue and Red in the contest throwing three complete innings with two strikeouts.
Hanover returns to action on Sunday, March 13 when they take on DePauw at St. X High School. Game time is set for 12:00 PM.
