HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover men's lacrosse team welcomed Earlham to Alumni Stadium on Saturday afternoon, dominating the Quakers, 17-1.
The Panthers were led in the contest by senior
Dirk Meinhart (Elizabethtown, Ky.) with three goals and three assists for six total points. The Blue and Red saw eight different student-athletes record goals in the contest including three strikes by freshman
Owen Parker (O'Fallon, Mo.). Freshman
Alex Kleinhelter (Fishers, Ind.) added a game-high 10 shots.
The first frame saw six different Panther's chart goals as they surged ahead 6-0.
The assault on net continued in the second quarter as Hanover added four more goals from four different athletes to claim the 10-0 advantage at the break.
The second half continued to be dominated by the Panthers as Meinhart and Parker completed their respective hat tricks en route to the 17-1 victory.
Senior
Sean O'Meara (Lexington, Ky.) collected the win in frame collecting eight saves through one complete period of work.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, April 23 when they welcome Mt. St. Joseph for Senior Day. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
