HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers have announced their 2022 schedule featuring five contests within the confines of Alumni Stadium.
 
Under the guidance of head coach Matt Theobald, the Blue and Red will look to make a strong post season push after entering the NCAA playoffs two out of the last three seasons (2020 playoffs canceled due to COVID).
 
Hanover is set to open the 2022 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 3 with non-conference foe Centre. The two team's meet for the seventh straight time as part of a season opening kick-off.
 
The Panthers then compete as part of the MIAA and HCAC crossover traveling to Adrian on Saturday, Sept. 10 before returning to Alumni Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 17 welcoming Olivet.
 
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play will kick-off on Saturday, Oct. 1 with a trip to Defiance College. Hanover has defeated the Yellow Jackets in each of the last seven seasons including shutout victories in 2021 (51-0) and 2019 (42-0).
 
The Beavers of Bluffton come to town on Saturday, Oct. 8 for Homecoming before HC hits the road for Manchester on Saturday, Oct. 15. The Panthers held Manchester scoreless in 2021 routing the Spartans 33-0.
 
Saturday, Oct. 22 will see the Lions of Mt. St. Joseph come to town for Hall of Fame Day as Hanover looks to claim their first victory over the Lions on C. Wayne Perry Field since the 2012 season. 
 
Rounding out the 2022 campaign will be 2021 HCAC regular season champions Rose-Hulman on Saturday, Nov. 5 followed by the playing of the of 92^nd Victory Bell Game at Franklin College on Saturday, Nov. 12.
 
The Panthers last victory at Franklin came in 2021 when they topped the Grizzlies 56-21. HC currently holds the slim 45-43-3 overall record in the series.
