COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Hanover Panthers (2-5 overall) opened play at as part of the Pam Briggs Classic on Friday afternoon defeating host Capital in straight sets before falling to Birmingham-Southern.
GAME ONE
Hanover dominated the Crusaders winning in straight sets 25-16, 25-17, and 25-15. Leading the charge for the Blue and Red was sophomore
Molly Schwarzkopf (Greenfield, Ind.) with a game leading seven kills.
Junior
Aubrey Walton (Linton, Ind.) posted a strong afternoon as she dished out a game-high 15 assists.
As a unit, Hanover landed 30 total kills.
GAME TWO
The Panthers fell in the night cap as Birmingham-Southern claimed the match 25-20, 25-9, 25-12.
Leading the charge for the Blue and Red was freshman
Elliot Mays (Jeffersonville, Ind.) with a team-high five kills.
Defensively, junior Casey Dun (Fort Thomas, Ky.) picked up seven digs while Walton dished out seven assists.
