COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Hanover Panthers (2-6 overall) fell to Thiel on the final day of the Pam Briggs Classic in four sets 25-16, 23-25, 20-25, 19-25.
Leading the Panthers was freshman
CC Shick (Fort Thomas, Kyl.) and freshman
Maddie Robertson (Mitchell, Ind.) with double digit kills. Shick charted a team-high 13 kills while Robertson connected for 10 kills.
Defensively, junior
Casey Dunn (Fort Thomas, Ky.) picked up 16 digs while teammate sophomore
Maggie Schweitzer (Shelbyville, Ind.) dished out 19 assists.
As a team, Hanover charted 46 total kills and 42 assists. They finished the contest hitting .187.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 14 welcoming Spalding as part of their home opener. First serve is set for 6:30 PM.
