HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers celebrated Senior Day on Saturday afternoon welcoming Bluffton to the Southwestern Natatorium.
 
Hanover claimed the top spot in the dual meet.
 
The Panthers recognized the lone senior in Ilys Anderson 9Hebron, Ky.) who turned in a strong afternoon.  Anderson won the 100-yard back with a time of 1:06.56.
 
She also swam an impressive race in the 50-yard free touching the wall with a time of 27.87 seconds.
 
Freshman Amelia Austin (Batesville, Ind.) turned in a strong afternoon as she won the 100-yard breast with a time of 1:24.50. She also competed in the 50-yard breast completing the event in a time of 38.58. seconds.
 
Teammate, freshman Makenzie Plummer (Bloomfield, Ind.) won the 200-yard free with a time of 2:43.17 while also placing second in the 50-yard fly in a time of 38.68 seconds. She rounded out the afternoon with the 100-yard free touching the wall in a time of 1:13.15.
 
Junior Alaina Simmons (Amboy, Ind.) rounded out the meet as she swam a strong race in the 50-yard fly with a time of 30.41 seconds while also taking the top spot in the 50-yard breast in a time of 37.37 seconds. Simmons also competed as part of the 100-yard IM finishing the race with a time of 1:16.11.
 
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 8 when they compete as part of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
