HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (12-1-4 overall, 8-0-1 HCAC) secured the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season title and the no. 1 seed as part of the HCAC Tournament last week before wrapping up the 2023 regular season with Rose-Hulman this afternoon. The two programs battled to a 0-0 draw.
Hanover recorded 22 shots led by junior
Beth Cook (Goshen, Ohio) with a game leading five attempts.
Despite being held scoreless, the Panthers got some quality looks at frame. In the 32 minute, senior
Jostin Reeves (Greenwood, Ind.) played a fantastic ball that was denied by the Rose-Hulman keeper. Hanover continued on the attack as freshman
Nora Jordan (Indianapolis, Ind.) got the last attempt on frame in the first half just missing the top woodwork.
The second half saw HC crank up the intensity pressuring the Fightin' Engineers keeper in the 79
th minute recording three shots that were blocked at point blank range.
Hanover returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 31 when they host a semifinal game of the HCAC Tournament at the Soccer Complex. Game time is set for 2 PM.
