PREVIEW: Hanover celebrates Hall of Fame Day with Anderson

HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers return to Alumni Stadium and celebrate Hall of Fame Day welcoming the Ravens of Anderson to C. Wayne Perry Field.
 
HALL OF FAME:
The Panthers are excited to induct four new members into the Hanover Athletic Hall of Fame Saturday morning as part of a brunch celebration. This year's class will feature longtime cross country and track and field coach Josh Payne and former standouts Abby Merritt Baker (Volleyball) '12, Kaitlin McCulloch Ilnick (Women's Soccer) '13, and Daniel Passafiume (Football) '12. The Hall of Fame class will also be recognized as part of a halftime celebration.
 
HOME SWEET HOME: Inside the confines of Alumni Stadium, Hanover is 2-1 overall in 2023 including wins over Trine and Manchester. They have averaged 31.0 points per game and held opponents to just 13.7. Hanover has generated 1,267 total yards of offense averaging 304.3 yards per game.
 
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: Among HCAC opponents, the Hanover defense has been a force to be reckoned with ranking first in touchdowns allowed (21) and points surrendered per game (20.1). On the offensive side of the ball, the Blue and Red rank second in yards per game (435.3) and total yards (3,485).
 
BRINGING THE HAMMER: Junior David Wall (Sellersburg, Ind.) has been a key component of the Panther defensive ranking first in the league in sacks (7.5) and first in solo stops (6). He leads the Panthers in tackles for loss (9.5) and forced fumbles (1).
 
HANOVER AT ROSE-HULMAN: The Panthers look to bounce back after falling on the road last week to Rose-Hulman, 44-39. Hanover registered 593 total yards of offense with six touchdowns led by freshman Eian Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.). Roudebush got the call under center throwing for 445-yards and six touchdowns on 58 total attempts.
 
THE RAVENS: Anderson enters the weekend at 0-8 overall and 0-5 HCAC. The Ravens dropped their most recent contest to Bluffton 45-7. Leading the Anderson attack was Aidan Meek with 140-yards through the air on 21 attempts and one touchdown.
