CARMEL, Ind. – The Hanover men's track and field team is set to compete as part of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championship hosted by Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The Panthers, as part of the HCAC preseason poll, were picked fourth with 50 points.
Hanover enters the weekend looking to capitalize on some strong performances from the 2023 indoor season.
The 4x200-meter relay team of freshman
Anthony Lloyd (Columbus, Ind.), sophomore
Erik Perkins (Lawrenceburg, Ind.), freshman
Layden Adair (Indianapolis, Ind.), and senior
Torion'Ja Forrest (Peru, Ind.) enter the meet ranked third among the HCAC with a time of 1:34.32.
Llyod also ranks second in the high jump with a leap of 1.92 meters.
In the shot put, senior
Jake Kehoe (Lagrange, Ky.) ranks fourth with a distance of 14.30 meters while teammate senior
Nick Stroud (Leavenworth, Ind.) ranks fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 15.87 meters.
The Championships are set to kick-off on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 1:00 PM with a handful of field events and the 5,000-meter run.
