Panthers take second at Alabama invasion

UNION GROVE, Ala. – The Hanover College women's golf team landed second in the four team field with a combined score of 698 strokes.
 
The Panthers were led by freshman Mallory Mortl (Westfield, Ind.) who tied for fourth place with a two round score of 172 strokes. Her best round came on the final day of the Alabama Invasion where she shot an 85.
 
 Freshman Hailey Hansen (Brownsburg, Ind.) landed tied for sixth with a score of 173 strokes.
 
Teammate, freshman Kambrie Cooper (Waterloo, Ill.) finished tied for ninth with 176 strokes while sophomore Taylor Caldwell (Noblesville, Ind..) shot a 177 strokes finishing 11th overall.
 
Rounding out the field for the Blue and Red was senior Taylor Drake (Franklin, Ind.) who shot a two round score of 190 strokes landing tied for 13th.
 
Hanover returns to action on Friday, March 10 when they compete as part of The Woods Invite.
