OLIVET, Mich. – The Panthers (2-0 overall) remained perfect on the season as they dominated Olivet on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action. Hanover defeated the Comets 67-10.
Senior
Kolton Richards (Kissimmee, Fla.) put on a clinic from the quarterback spot throwing for a career and game-high 366 yards, 300 of which came in the first half, and three touchdowns. Senior
Hunter Eads (Batavia, Ohio) and junior
Jalen Peck (Bloomington, Ind.) appeared to be his top two targets as they both charted over 100 yards receiving.
On the ground, junior
Blake Huffman (Columbus, Ind.) turned in a solid day at the office, rushing for a game-high 105 yards on nine carries with two touchdowns.
As a team, Hanover finished with an impressive 659 total yards of offensive.
The Blue and Red scored early and often finding the endzone at the 10:29 mark in the first quarter after traveling 75-yards on 10 plays. Huffman charted the touchdown following an 18-yard scamper and score, 7-0.
The Panthers extended their first quarter lead as Richardson connected with Eads for a 74-yard pass and score before Eads made his second trip to the endzone at the 2:54 mark in the quarter, 21-0.
With all the momentum, the Hanover offense continued to fire on all cylinders, this time with Richardson finding Peck for a 78-yard hookup, 28-0.
Hanover also continued its strong run game as Huffman made his way into the endzone capping a 87-yard six play drive at the 3:22 mark in the second quarter propelling HC to the commanding 35-0 advantage.
Peck recorded the final first half touchdown as HC entered the intermission leading 42-0.
The second half would see Hanover tack on three more scores as sophomore
Don Dunning (Nashville, Tenn.) added his first career touchdown on an 11-yard rush, 55-10.

Keelan Dyson (Camby, Ind.) and freshman
Gerson Coroa (Columbus, Ind.) charted the final two fourth quarter scores propelling Hanover to the 67-17 victory.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 23 when welcome Trine to Alumni Stadium. Game time is set for 1:30 PM.
