Panthers and Cardinals finish in 0-0 draw

HANOVER, Ind. – Despite battling to a 0-0 draw with Otterbein, the Panther (3-1-3 overall) offense was explosive tallying eight second half attempts at goal.

The Blue and Red finished with a combined 15 shots paced by junior Beth Cook (Goshen, Ohio) with seven.

Hanover recorded the first quality look on frame in the second minute as junior Beth Cook played a fantastic ball from senior Jostin Reeves (Greenwood, Ind.) that was saved by the Cardinal keeper.

The Panthers played a very methodical half monopolizing the ball when Otterbein broke the defensive pressure charting their first attempt at goal in the 32nd minute.

Hanover finished with six total shots, three of which landed on frame in the first half.

The second half saw the Panthers ramp up the offensive intensity with Cook using some fancy footwork to navigate a shot in the 65th minute that was blocked.

Neither team would give an inch as the defenses secured the 0-0 draw.

Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 23 when they host Capital at the Soccer Complex. Game time is set for 3:00 PM.
