RICHMOND, Ind. – The Panthers (5-1-3 overall, 1-0 HCAC) used a second half outburst to secure the convincing 4-0 victory over Earlham in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
Junior
Beth Cook (Goshen, Ohio) led the charge rattling off a game and season high 12 shots, nine of which landed on frame. She also added two goals scored and an assist.
As a unit, Hanover tallied 29 shots, 17 of which landed on frame.
After a scoreless first half the flood gates opened as the Panthers cranked up the intensity. Junior
Kate Bettner (Noblesville, Ind.) netted the first goal in the 59
th minute following an assist by Cook, 1-0.
Cook entered the scores column in the 63
rd minute before charting her second strike moments later off a helper by sophomore
Morgan Castiglione (Fishers, Ind.), 3-0.
The final Hanover goal came in the 69
th minute off the foot of sophomore
Olivia Patel (Batavia, Ohio) propelling HC to the 4-0 victory.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 30 when they travel to Defiance. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
