HC Clears Manchester In League Play

North Manchester, IN - The Panthers competed on the road today in a conference match-up against the Spartans of Manchester University.

Hanover took full control of the game right away, shooting the ball early and often. HC got out to an early 1-0 lead as senior back Kate Bettner was able to score off an assist from senior forward Beth Cook in the seventh minute of play.

The Panthers added two more goals within the first fifteen minutes of play, one from fifth-year forward Callen Johnson (assisted by junior back Erin Terry, and senior back Clara Finneseth), and one from sophomore midfielder Kaleigh Schirmer (unassisted).

The second half of play saw the same level control from Hanover as they continued to dominate time of possession, keeping the Manchester defensive unit in a state of discombobulation. Another quick scoring burst by the Panthers would seal the deal as sophomore midfielder Nora Ludwig and senior forward Beth Cook each put one past the keeper, making the score 5-0, HC.

The Panthers walked away with another scrumtrulescent win at 5-0, preposterously out shooting the Spartans 39 to 0, with 12 total corner kicks. HC now stands at 8-3-0, 3-1-0 in conference play.

Hanover's next match-up is on the road again, against the Lions of Mt. St. Joeseph University in Cincinnati, OH. Kickoff is set for 7:00PM, this Wednesday, October 16th.
