ANDERSON, Ind. – The Panther swim team hit the road for their season opener at Anderson falling to the Ravens 188 to 38.
 
Hanover was led by freshman swimmer Lindsay Brown (Milford, Ohio) who claimed the top spot in the 50-yard butterfly touching the wall in a time of 31.82.
 
She also teamed up with freshmen Anna Williams (Fortville, Ind.), senior Aidah Shuttleworth (Beavercreek, Ohio), and sophomore Lucy Schoenlein (Indianapolis, Ind.) in the 200-yard medley relay to capture second place in the event at 2:10.38. Brown rounded out the meet with a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.
 
Schoenlein took third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:23.24 while Williams landed third in the 50-yard backstroke. The freshman also claimed third place in the 100-yard backstroke.
 
Shuttleworth wrapped up her evening in Anderson with a third place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke while Schoenlein landed third in the 500-yard freestyle.
 
Hanover returns to the pool on Saturday, Oct. 19 when they compete as part of the Division III Invite hosted by Rose-Hulman.
