Hanover Topples Anderson 35-0

ANDERSON, Ind. – The Panther football team (3-3 overall, 2-1 HCAC) hit the road for Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Anderson on Saturday afternoon dominating the Ravens 35-0.
 
INSIDE THE STATS
Sophomore Eian Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) dominated the air ways throwing for an impressive 216 yards and four touchdowns. He finished the contest 21-of-26 on pass attempts.
 
Senior Austin Oppel (Brandenburg, Ky.) collected 100 yards on the ground with one rushing score. Sophomore Curbrian Shelby (Indianapolis, Ind.) hauled in two touchdown receptions on three receptions.
 
 Defensively, senior Jamey Deckard (Bedford, Ind.) added six tackles while freshman Brian Wall (Sellersburg, Ind.) tallied two pass breakups.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers scored early and often in this contest as Roudebush piloted the offense 72 yards on five plays with 10:29 to play in the first quarter. Oppel secured the game's first touchdown with a 16-yard rush and score.
 
At the 9:43 mark in the second quarter, Shelby found the endzone as he collected a 14-yard pass capping a six-play 49-yard drive, 14-0.
 
The Panthers added another first-half score as junior Michael Gordon (Nashville, Tenn.) secured the touchdown. Roudebush found Gordon with 4:48 before half on a 23-yard hookup.
 
In the second half, Shelby tallied his second touchdown of the afternoon just minutes into the third frame. The Panther offense went 60-yards on seven plays en route to a 28-0 lead.
 
The final score saw Roudebush pilot the offense 87-yards to capture the 35-0 victory.
 
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Manchester. Game time is set for 1:30 PM.
