Women's Soccer Earns Win Number 10 Over Earlham

Richmond, IN - The Hanover College women's soccer team went on the road to take on conference opponent Earlham College (Quakers) in their eighth conference game of the 2024 campaign.

The game was never in doubt, as Hanover seized control right away when senior forward Beth Cook beat the Quaker's goalkeeper off an assist from sophomore midfielder Kaleigh Schirmer at the one minute twenty-six second mark.

Hanover continued to command the pace and flow of the game. The senior forward Beth Cook was once again able to beat her defender and lay a ball out into space for teammate and 5th year forward Callen Johnson to come thru and bury her sixth goal of the season.

The Panthers would carry this momentum into halftime, up 2-0 over the Quakers.

Coming out of the break, the Panthers picked up right where they left off. The ladies got right back on the attack, keeping possession of the ball and playing with a purpose.

Senior forward Beth Cook would once again find her way through the Earlham defensive unit, and beat the keeper after a tremendous solo effort, earning her thirteenth goal of the 2024 season, second on the day.

Hanover costed through the next twenty minutes of play and didn't allow any goals on the defensive side of the ball.

The final goal of the contest would come from freshman forward Emma Gill as she navigated the Quaker defense and beat the keeper unassisted.

The Panthers went on to take this one, 4-0. HC is back in action for their final game of the regular season, this Wednesday October 30th, for a home match-up against Franklin College.
