CINCINNATI, Ohio – Hanover (19-6 overall, 3-3 HCAC) forced a fifth set on Wednesday evening at Mount St. Joseph falling to the Lions in a 3-2 thriller (25-23, 13-25, 17-25, 25-21, 14-16).

Maggie Schweitzer (Shelbyville, Ind.) surpassed 20 assists; Vogel dished out 24 while Schweitzer recorded 23.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Hanover put pressure on the road contest at MSJ by using a series of three-point swings to claim a 21-16 difference. McCoy handled the rest as she recorded the set-winning kill, 25-23.
However, the Lions came roaring back winning both sets two and three to reclaim the home-court advantage.
Set four saw Hanover surge ahead, scoring the first six of seven points off the serve of freshman
Madison Schicker (Fishers, Ind.) for the 6-2 lead. The turning point came midway through the set with a 5-0 run that saw HC on top 17-13. Junior
Maddie Robertson (Mitchell, Ind.) forced the set five with a commanding kill off the assist by Schweitzer.
In the final set, Hanover claimed a slim advantage of 12-11 after an MSJ miscue. They continued to pressure the Lions, as McCoy connected for a kill that was blocked just inside the back touchline, securing the five-set win.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 2 when they travel to Anderson. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
