ANDERSON, Ind. – Hanover defeated Anderson in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference road clash 3-1 (25-23, 24-26, 25-20, 25-23).

Sophomore
Abbey McCoy (Indianapolis, Ind.) led Hanover with 15 kills while senior
Jessie Stenger (St. Leon, Ind.) added 12 kills. Stenger also finished with a team-high .267 hitting percentage.
Senior
Maggie Schweitzer (Shelbyville, Ind.) dished out 23 assists while her counterpart sophomore
Megan Vogel (North Vernon, Ind.) added 22 assists.
Freshman
Madison Schicker (Fishers, Ind.) led the defensive effort with 23 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers claimed the early 1-0 lead as a 6-0 run and a freshman
Brooklyn York (Franklin, Ind.) killed propelled them in front 13-10. Hanover continued on the attack surging ahead 21-15 before a McCoy killed secured the win.
Anderson was able to tie the contest 1-1 with a set two win when the Panthers came storming back. This time with a 5-0 run the saw back-to-back kills by Stenger in set three for an 11-4 difference. With all the momentum they were able to get kills from McCoy and junior
Maddie Robertson (Mitchell, Ind.) to secure the set three win, 2-1.
Hanover called game late into set four with a 6-0 run. McCoy paced the run from the service line as a service ace propelled them in front 23-21. Robertson handled the rest connecting for a kill to send Hanover to victory.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday when they welcome Transylvania to Collier Arena.
