HOW IT HAPPENED
Transylvania surged ahead quickly in set one using a 7-0 rally to capture the win 25-17.
Much like in set one, the Pioneers found themselves on top early. However, the Panthers began to build momentum, rattling off eight straight points from Vogel's serve to pull within 25-21.
Hanover felt the energy in set three as the Panther attack led by a monstrous kill from senior
Jessie Stenger (St. Leon, Ind.) propelled them in front 11-8. Stenger continued to pick apart the Pioneer defense as she connected for a kill that saw them claim a 16-13 lead. Senior
Maggie Schweitzer (Shelbyville, Ind.) handled the rest at the service line assisting in the final four points en route to the 25-21 victory.
Despite the late flurry by Hanover, Transylvania deemed too much recording 13 kills to capture the 3-1 HCAC win.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday when they welcome Bluffton for Senior Day. First serve is set for 2:00 PM.
