Westerville, OH - The Hanover College Panthers took to the road over the weekend to player in the Otterbein Classic in Westerville, Ohio. The Panthers came into the weekend with an overall season record of 6-3, averaging 78 points per game while giving up right about 73 points per game to their opponent.

In game one of the long-weekend HC looked to take on the Big Red from Denison University. Denison came into this neutral site match-up at 7-1 on the season and looked to extend their two-game winning streak.

Hanover kept it close through the first half of play, however they still fell behind by six before the break. HC shot an incredible 63.5% from the field and 67% from three through the first half, making the same amount of total shots and total threes as Denison [who took several more shots]. The difference in the half went on to be the 7 made free-throws by Denison to Hanovers 1.

The second half would go on to look much like the first - only the Panthers wouldn't shoot quite as well, and the Big Red would be a touch better. Hanover, seemingly outmatched, saw another six point deficit in the second half and went on the lose by twelve at 70-82.

The Panthers aim to bounce back tomorrow as they take on Otterbein University in game two of their weekend-tournament. Tip-off is set for 4:00 PM EST.
