Panthers claim non-conference win at Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Ohio- Hanover (7-3 overall) traveled to Wilmington to take on the Quakers and were able to catch their eighth win of the season, 6-2

On The Bump
Freshman Dalton Sisson (Bowling Green, Ky.) got his first start of the season and pitched a strong four innings for the Panthers allowing only one run with three K's.

The Red and Blue used most of their bullpen to keep the Quakers off balance. Junior Ashton Dickmann (Greenfield, Ind.) was the first one out of the pen and threw one inning. Senior Jordan Parker came in and allowed no hits before senior Wyatt Prather (Indianapolis, Ind.) got two innings to keep Wilmington quiet.

Freshman Ashton Carie (Madison, Ind.) closed the game for the Panthers and helped Hanover secure the win.

At The Plate
Senior Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) got the Panthers off to a hot start hitting an RBI nuke in the first inning scoring junior Jake Danneman (Edgewood, Ky.) to put Hanover up 2-0.

The scoring continued as Danneman plated junior Andrew Oesterling (Batesville, Ind.) on a sacrifice fly to left field.

Wilmington answered back in the second inning scoring one run to pull within 3-1. Junior David Newbanks (New Albany, Ind.) got an RBI by plating senior Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) in with a single up the middle.
The Quakers got one run back in the fifth inning cutting the difference to 4-2. Both teams stayed quiet until the ninth inning when Christie hit his second home run of the game which then led to a Roudebush bomb en route to the victory.

Hanover will be on the road this weekend heading to Crawfordsville, Ind. to take on Wabash College in a three game series.
