CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Hanover (3-5 overall) dropped a hard fought battle at Wabash on Saturday afternoon, 18-8.
ON THE ATTACK
Two Panthers landed in double-digit goals, junior Alex Klienhelter(Fishers, Ind.) and sophomore
Colin O'Brien (Somers, Conn.) finished with three goals apiece. Senior
Nick Adams (Greenwood, Ind.) registered a team-high seven shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Wabash surged ahead 4-0 before O'Brien found the back of the net with 6:31 to play in the first period. However, Wabash continued to attack surging ahead to the 13-2 halftime lead.
Hanover halted the attack in the third frame behind a goal from Klienhelter at 11:07, 13-3. The Panthers made one final push in the fourth quarter recording four goals before surrendering the contest 18-8.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, March 20 when they welcome DePauw to Alumni Stadium at 4;00 PM.
