CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – The Panther (9-5 overall) comeback fell short in game three at Wabash, dropping the contest 6-5.
ON THE MOUND
Sophomore
John Girard (Richmond, Ky.) got the start pitching three complete inning before surrendering the ball to freshman
Dalton Sisson (Bowling Green, Ky.). Sisson threw five complete with three strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Wabash scored first plating two runs in the first inning before tacking on two runs in the third inning for the 4-0 advantage.
The Little Giants added one more run in the seventh inning following a home run to right field, 5-0.
Hanover looked to make the comeback in the eighth inning as senior
Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) homered. Junior
Reid Douglas (Rossville, Ind.) followed it up with a double down the line before junior
Andrew Oesterling (Batesville, Ind.) singled to right field pulling HC within 5-4. Sophomore Robert Carrol (Hendersonville, Tenn.) knotted the contest later in the inning before Wabash broke the 5-5 tie.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, March 23 when they take on Transylvania.
