HANOVER, Ind.- Hanover (12-6 overall, 3-1 HCAC) went 2-0 playing their first home games of the year against the Defiance Yellow Jackets. The Panthers claimed the pair of W's with a score of 8-1 in the first game and 13-3 in the second game.

On The Hill
Senior
Marcus Goodpaster (Indianapolis, Ind.) was able to get his third win of the season on five innings of pitching allowing only three hits and one run. Senior
Wyatt Prather (Indianapolis, Ind.) came in for relief throwing four innings allowing just two hits, and shutting out the Yellow Jackets for the remainder of the game giving him his first save of the year.

At The Plate
The Panthers got off to a hot start in the first inning scoring a total of four runs thanks to an RBI double by Junior
Jake Danneman (Edgewood, Ky.) and a no doubt three RBI shot from senior
Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) putting the Panthers up 4-0 early.

Defiance was able to stay alive scoring a run of their own in the third inning.

The Red and Blue continued to be all offense in the fifth inning getting a RBI single from senior
Connor Farnsley (Jeffersonville, Ind.) and an RBI double from junior
Sam Perkins (Louisville, Ky.) making the score 6-1. The scoring ensued in the next inning with a single by senior
Alex Christie (Greenwood, IN) scoring Danneman. One more run was tallied in the eighth with Danneman scoring on a throwing error.

On The Hill
Freshman
Dalton Sisson (Bowling Green, Ky.) collected his second win of  the year throwing a complete game (seven innings) for the Panthers allowing only five hits and three runs with 10 K's.

Again, Hanover came out hot scoring five runs in the second inning with a two RBI double hit by junior
Reid Douglas (Rossville, Ind.), an RBI single from junior
Matthew McCoy (Charlestown, Ind.), and another two RBI hit from Danneman.Â

The scoring continued in the fourth inning with an RBI ground ball hit by sophomore
Robert Carroll (Hendersonville, Tenn.). In the fifth inning, the Panthers exploded starting with a run-scoring single by Farnsley and a RBI double by McCoy. Perkins added a sacrifice fly before an RBI double from the bat of
Robert Carroll.Â

Defiance attempted to stop the bleeding in the sixth by scoring three runs of their own. However, Hanover answered back with three game-ending runs in the seventh inning.

The Hanover College Panthers return to action on Tuesday, March 26 when they travel to Danville, Ky. to take on the Colonels of Centre College.
