DANVILLE, Ky.- Hanover (12-7 overall) was unable to extend their winning streak against the Centre Colonels dropping the non-conference contest 13-10.

The Panthers fell behind early giving up two runs in the first inning. But they answered back with four runs, scoring their first run when junior
Reid Douglas (Rossville, Ind.) stole home on a wild pitch. Junior
Sam Perkins (Louisville, Ky.) hit a three run home run to put the Panthers up 4-2. However, Centre was able to put up another two runs tying the game 4-4 after two innings of play.

The Red and Blue continued to score in the third inning thanks to a two run home run hit by Douglas to put the Panthers back in front 6-4.Â

The same story continued in the fourth inning when senior
Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) hit an RBI single followed by another home run from Douglas scoring three runs making the score 10-4. But the Colonels continued to answer back scoring three runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth inning making it a 10-10 ballgame.

Hanover surrendered another three runs in the seventh inning and were never able to recover. The final score was 13-10 with the Colonels coming out on top.

The Panthers will travel to Anderson University this weekend for a doubleheader with the Ravens.
