JACKSON, Miss. – Hanover (6-2 overall) used a ninth inning rally to knock-off Belhaven in game one of a three game road series on Thursday evening, 5-3.

Marcus Goodpaster (Indianapolis, Ind.) pitched eight complete innings with six strikeouts on 94 pitches thrown. He allowed just three runs on six hits.
Jaden Siemer pitched relief for the Panthers claiming his second save of the year striking out three.

Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) wasted little time giving Hanover the 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning as he singled to left field scoring senior

Belhaven responded adding one run in the bottom of the first inning before tacking on runs in the second inning and one run in the fourth inning, 3-1.
After two scoreless innings, the Panther offense exploded. Roudebush delivered once more as he hit a hard ground ball to shortstop scoring junior

Hanover finally flipped the score back in their favor in the eighth inning as junior
Matthew McCoy (Charlestown, Ind.) singled to left field for the RBI.
The Blue and Red secured the victory in the top of the ninth inning with an RBI walk by freshman
Wesley Stiller (Greenfield, Ind.) and a junior Ried Douglas (Rossville, Ind.) hit by pitch, 5-3.
Hanover concludes the Belhaven series on Saturday, March 9 with a doubleheader beginning at 11:00 AM CST.
