NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Panthers (17-8 overall, 8-2 HCAC) dominated game one of a three game series at Manchester, winning the contest in seven innings 18-3.

Matthew Alter remained perfect on the year moving to 5-09 overall after pitching six innings with three strikeouts.

Hanover ran away with this one early scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. Leading the surge was senior
Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) with a two RBI double before both senior
Connor Farnsley (Jeffersonville, Ind.) and junior
Reid Douglas (Rossville, Ind.) plated runs.
The second inning saw the Panthers push the contest out of reach scoring seven more runs on five hits. Junior
Andrew Oesterling (Batesville, Ind.) brought the big stick as he singled to right field scoring three Panther runners en route to the 11-0 lead.
After adding one run in the third inning, Hanover hung a two spot in the fourth inning. Senior
Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) delt the blow with a home run that gave HC the 14-2 advantage.
With the contest well in hand, Hanover called game in the sixth inning scoring four runs on two hits.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday afternoon concluding the three game series at Manchester.
