HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover baseball team claimed a top 10 spot among the Region VIII rankings, announced by the NCAA.
 
Hanover with a 21-10 overall mark enters the weekend ranked second among the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference just behind the Pioneers of Transylvania. The Pioneers also cracked the Region VIII top 10 with a 26-6 overall record.
 
The Regional ranking featured one other common opponent for the Blue and Red, the Spalding Golden Eagles. The two team's met for the first time earlier this week with Spalding claiming the 6-5 decision. They will meet again on Tuesday, April 30.
 
Hanover returns to the diamond on Friday, April 26 when they begin a three-game series at Earlham.
