Hanover, Ind.- Hanover College (16-8, 7-2 HCAC) completed the sweep of Franklin College (13-9, 4-5 HCAC) in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Sunday to finish out the home series against their rival.

John Girard (Richmond, Ky.) shut out the Grizzlies to give him his second win of the year. He allowed only three hits and struck out 11 in eight complete innings.

After three innings the Panthers were up 3-0 with two runs coming from walks and another run scoring on a fielder's choice hit by junior

The Red and Blue added insurance runs in the sixth inning thanks to an RBI double by senior
Connor Farnsley (Jeffersonville, Ind.) and junior
Andrew Oesterling (Batesville, Ind.).

The final two runs of the game came in the eighth inning with Douglas providing an RBI groundout and Oesterling hitting a sacrifice fly.

The Panthers will return to HCAC action when they travel to North Manchester, Ind. to take on the Spartans of Manchester on Friday, April 12. Game time is set for 4:15.
