Anderson, IN - Today, the Panthers of Hanover College (5-2-0) took on the Anderson University Ravens (3-3-2) in a rescheduled inter-conference road contest.

The first half was seemingly controlled by the Panthers as they were able to put up 10 shots in the period. At the forty-one minute mark however, Anderson would strike first as Caroline Hill found the back of the net for the Ravens. The half would go on to end Ravens 1, Panthers 0.

After the break the Panthers came out even hungrier than before it seemed - once again taking full control of the games flow. Possessing the ball well and keeping it hot amongst teammates, HC was able to get shots off even more frequently in the second. Just seconds after the fifty-first minute of play, Junior forward Lauren Rainbolt was able to aim one past the Ravens' keeper and tie the score at 1-1.

Hanover would stay on the attack, not letting of the gas at all. Their hustle was gritty, their play was selfless, and their mindset was - win. Nearing the final five minutes of regulation, the ladies knew it was time to go empty the tank. Senior back Kate Bettner would go on to answer the call, scoring the game winner with with just six minutes and forty-two seconds left to go.

HC went on to steal the win, 2-1, clinching their first conference win of the year, making them 6-2-0 (1-0-0 in conf.) on the season.

The Lady Panthers will be back in action, home, this Saturday October 5th, at 1:00PM EST during Hanover College's Homecoming weekend!
