MADISON, Ind. – The Hanover men's swim team welcomed Wittenberg to the Madison Aquatic Center on Friday evening for a dual meet with the Tigers. The Panthers finished second overall with 109 points.
The Panthers placed second in the 200-yard medley relay in a highly competitive race with several lead changes. The team of junior
Chet Paulsen (Bloomington, Ind.), sophomore
Boaz Hoffer (Richmond, Ind.), sophomore
Callum Buchanan (JFranklin, Ind.), and freshman
Chaze Combs (Seymour, Ind.) finished the race in 1:49.03, just narrowly missing first place by less than a second.
Paulsen would claim his first win of the evening in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.33. His second win came in 500-yard freestyle winning the race with a time of 5:36.03.
Buchanan also registered a top mark in the 50-yard freestyle completing the event in a time of 23.34 seconds. His next win came I the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.94 seconds.
Combs claimed second place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.45.
Rounding out the meet was the 200-yard freestyle team of Buchanan, Hoffer, Combs, and Paulsen finishing second.
