Hanover claimed the first set 25-22 tallying 16 kills on 45 attempts. The Panthers pounced early, using a 6-0 run to claim an 8-3 advantage. They continued on the attack, stringing together a key 5-0 run late in the set that propelled them to the win.

After surrendering set two, Hanover was able to apply the pressure. The Panthers saw another early run put them in front 5-1. The momentum shift came late in the set off the serve of Dean, who paced an 8-0 run for a 25-24 advantage. Gervers secured the set win.

Hanover used a very important 6-0 run to claim the 8-3 difference. Robertson and Mays dominated late into the match, getting a pair of kills that secured the thrilling five-set victory.
